The Ministry of Family and Social Welfare released a statement regarding the disbursement of the assistance just hours before Eid al-Adha.
After the Ministry of Family and Social Services provided the Family Assistance Package Payment, Elderly Disability Pension, Home Care Pay, and Family and Youth Fund on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, citizens benefiting from social and economic assistance payments will receive the payment. In this regard, according to estimates made taking into account the payment dates last month, the social and economic assistance payments will be made between June 15 and 20, and after the payments are made before Eid Al-Adha, citizens will be informed through announcements published on the Ministry’s official website and social media accounts.
HIA Assistance June 2024 Payment
In June, the Ministry of Family and Social Services distributed TL 887 million to eligible citizens nationwide within the framework of social and economic support payments. The purpose of the social and economic support grants is to provide social support to children from low-income families and cover educational expenses. After the June distribution was completed, the ministry shared the following on its social media account:
“Our family-oriented social service model strives to ensure that children grow up in the care and warmth of their families. As part of our Socio-Economic Assistance (SED) program for this purpose, we will disburse a total of TL 887 million in June.”
How much is SED assistance?
Following the Ministry of Family and Social Services’ distribution of an average of 5,330 TL to eligible citizens nationwide within the framework of the June social and economic assistance payment, attention is focused on how much the future increase will be. After the June payment is made, the social and economic assistance payments and social assistance provided to various strata of society will be increased in the first few days of July. There has been no official announcement yet on the rate of increase in assistance payments, but since the welfare payment will be increased according to the civil servant salary coefficient, the increase in the civil servant salary is being calculated. Since the civil servant salary is estimated to increase by nearly 20%, social and economic assistance payments are also expected to increase by nearly 20%.
