Ayse Ateş, the wife of assassinated former Uluk Ocaklal President Sinan Ateş, responded to an article published today by Yeni Akit writer Ali Karahasanoğlu titled “When will Sinan Ateş’s wife meet with the HDP and even with Qandil?”
“I wish you had gathered a little more information about the events leading up to and following this despicable assassination and written your article accordingly,” Ayse Ateş wrote in a statement to Karahasanoğlu, adding, “Whoever commissioned this custom article, buy him off. Let him get used to the taste of quince.” Ayse Ateş asked Karahasanoğlu, “Why are media outlets that pursue the cause to which Sinan dedicated his life not making an effort to shed light on this despicable assassination?”
Işe Ateş met with many party leaders, including President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and asked them for their assistance in “finding the dark hand of political murder” of Sinan Ateş. She visited the chairpersons in her office and invited them to the first hearing, which will be held on July 1.
In an article published today, Karahasanoglu said: “Why shouldn’t the left wing shoot and blame others? This CHP, this Cumhuriyet newspaper, this Birgün newspaper… if they put the words of Sinan Ateş’s grieving wife in their headlines, then the grieving newspapers should ask themselves: ‘Where are they going wrong?'” he said.
“Maybe they didn’t tell you this detail.”
Ateş responded to Karahasanoglu, who targeted his visit in a post on social media platforms today, with the following words:
“Dear Ali Ihsan Karahasanoglu, I would like to provide you with some information about this file that you are not familiar with and correct the shortcomings in your article.
First of all, you said that “they are all indoors until we take the shooter to Ankara or back to Istanbul.” But you did not mention the designated vehicle with plate number 06 AT 5021 in which the shooter was transported. Maybe they did not give you this detail.
Then you continued: “Perhaps the real mastermind of the murder planned and wrote down the developments we are experiencing today in order to carry out awareness activities based on this case.” But immediately afterwards, you risked denying yourself and said that the instigator was obvious and that we had invented a fictitious instigator. I shared with the prosecutor’s office and the public who instigated this heinous murder against my husband. Never heard of it, right? Look at the 17 people whose files were separated. You can find their names there.
“What kind of instigator is Torgakhan Demirbaş?”
Ali İhsan Karahasanoğlu, I would like to ask you: What kind of instigator is Türgahan Demirbaş – again, I am speaking based on the evidence in the indictment – that he was constantly receiving instructions from Chairman of the Uruş Oçaklal Committee Ahmet İzit Yıldırım to gather information on Sinan and ATES during the preparations for this dastardly assassination.
“A murder that has already been solved…”
In the rest of your article, you insinuated that we did not have the documents and questioned why, even if we did have the documents, we did not submit them to the prosecutor’s office. Here again your ignorance is revealed, because you question why the evidence and statements in the file were not included in the indictment, why the investigation of the 17 people was separated from this indictment, why all the evidence was not brought together, and for what purpose all the suspects were not included in the same indictment. That means the prosecutor’s office already has the evidence. As you can see, the dark hand is trying to buy time by dragging out an already solved murder case.
“Should I go to the front door of the people who murdered my husband?”
I do not think that your words “The grieving wife visits the enemies of the idealists and holds talks with them” are targeted at our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, but I will not comment on this. However, I cannot help but ask: What should I do? Should I go to those who did not offer condolences and those who killed my husband? In your article, you delivered a verdict against currently detained Vice Chairman Ulukh Ocaklar, MHP officials, and MHP parliamentary candidate: “All those involved in this crime are inside.”
In the article you wrote, you constantly contradicted yourself and denied what you said one line before, the next line. I think it is because you have no information about the incident. I wish you had gathered a bit more information about the events before and after this despicable assassination and written your article accordingly. This would be more accurate and fair to you.
“News outlets following the incident where Sinan saved a life…”
You conclude your article with this: This CHP, this Cumhuriyet newspaper, this Birgün newspaper… if they print the words of Sinan Ateş’s grieving wife in their headlines, the grieving spouse should ask himself: ‘What am I doing wrong?’
No, what I am asking is: why are the media, devoted to the cause for which Sinan dedicated his life, making no effort to shed light on this sordid assassination? Why do they act as if Sinan was not killed?
When you have finished reading what I have written, buy yourself a quince from the author of this tailor-made article. Let your taste buds get used to the taste.”
