NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — For the first time in franchise history, New Orleans’ professional rugby team will be competing in the national playoffs.

For them and the rest of the professional rugby team, today is photo day.
The man behind the camera is New Orleans photographer Noel Marcantel.
WGNO Good Morning New Orleans reporter Bill Wood watches over the photo opportunity.
The photo shoot day is for the jerseys they supermodel. These shirts honor the city the team celebrates. The design is a New Orleans tree covered in Mardi Gras beads. The designer behind it is artist Becky Foss.
It’s a carnival-like memory that everyone loves in this corner of Louisiana.
The shirts will be worn twice, in games, and then available for bids in an auction, with money raised going to the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.
