On August 30, Ibrahim D. arrived at the Anatolian Vocational and Technical High School in Finankent District and began arguing with his teachers, Vedat K. and Orhan B., claiming that his younger brother, a ninth-grade student, was planning to repeat the year. During the argument, Ibrahim D. punched both teachers.
Following the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Suspect Ibrahim D., who went to the hospital with the teachers to report the assault, gave a statement at the Cakmaq Martyrs Sedat Yabarak Police Station.
Suspect Ibrahim D. was detained within the scope of an investigation launched by the Anatolian Chief Prosecutor’s Office regarding a case in which the parties had filed complaints against each other.
Incidentally, the assault was recorded on a mobile phone.
After the formalities at the police station were completed, the suspect was taken to the Anatolian Palace of Justice. Ibrahim D.’s statement was taken up by the prosecutor’s office and he was referred to a criminal judge on peace duty for arrest.
In his statement to the judge, Ibrahim D. described the situation of his younger sister, who is a student, and that her father attends the school, saying:
“My sister told me that when my father went to school, he told teacher Vedat, ‘You are playing with my daughter’s future.’ The teacher approached my father and quickly closed the door. I went to the school after hearing that. “Who is teacher Vedat? Someone said, ‘It’s me, what will happen?’ I approached him and it was crowded inside, so I said, ‘I am angry, I came to talk to you, I will not do anything.’ I saw the teacher put his hand on my chest and said, ‘Oh, how bad!’ I got angry and hit me once in the throat and said, ‘It’s okay to leave the child alone.’ I said, ‘Don’t breathe.'” He added, “While Orhan Hodja was on the ground, I did not hit him. I may have pushed him with my hand. After I escaped from his hands, I said, ‘Why did you two attack me? Should we gather?’ People from Mustafa Kemal’s district? I said, ‘The day will come.’ I did not say such a thing. I regret this.”
The judge ruled that Ibrahim D. should be arrested on charges of “intentional injury in the course of official duties.”
