PARSIPPANY — The Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany recently held a food collection drive at the Parsippany ShopRite to support the Parsippany Food Pantry. The drive was designed to collect nonperishable food items to help local families in need. Club President Carol Tiesi, along with members Frank Cahill, Judy Chase, Bonnie Goessling, Susan Slaughter, Lt. Governor Nicholas Limanoff and other Key Club members, collected 10 carts full of food and delivered them to the Parsippany Food Pantry.
Carol Tiesi, president of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany, said, “When I became president in October, one of the things I did was to partner with Key Club to achieve our goal of collecting food for those in need. We started in Parsippany and plan to continue collecting as much food as we need next year.” Key Club is made up of hard-working high school students who are passionate about serving their homes, schools and communities. We strive to make the world a better place through service and compassion.

The Parsippany Food Pantry is a community-based organization dedicated to providing food assistance to local families in need. It operates through donations and volunteer support, with the goal of ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry.
Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany President Carol Tiesi and members Judy Chase and Bonnie Goessling were instrumental in organizing a recent food fundraiser at ShopRite, and thanks to their dedication and hard work, along with other club members and community volunteers, 10 cartloads of food were collected and delivered to the Parsippany Food Pantry to help local families in need.
The Parsippany Emergency Food Pantry is located at the Parsippany Community Center, 1130 Knoll Road, Lake Hiawatha. For more information, call (973) 263-7163. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
