The Los Angeles Dodgers made unique history on Saturday with an 11-3 win over the New York Yankees, becoming the first team in MLB history to have two players named Hernandez hit a home run in the same game, according to Opta Stats.

On Saturday, Teoscar Hernandez and Kiké Hernandez both hit home runs for the Dodgers, with Teoscar hitting two in the game — a rather unusual statistic, but one that’s never been done before in MLB history — and their three home runs were the only ones the Dodgers hit in the game.
Teoscar has been in good form over his last three games with three home runs, seven hits, nine RBIs and five runs scored.
Overall, the Dodgers’ lineup had a dominant game on Saturday against arguably the best team in MLB, the Yankees. Teoscar had six RBIs, while Kiké, Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman and Andy Page each had RBIs. Every member of the Dodgers’ lineup had at least one hit, and six of the nine players scored runs.
It was a welcome performance for the Dodgers, whose lineup has been shaky in recent weeks, allowing just four hits and two runs last Friday night. They seemed in shaky shape heading into a crucial series against the Yankees, but they have actually been doing well, winning the first two games of the series so far.
They play the series finale on Sunday night, looking for a sweep before returning home to face the reigning World Series champion Texas Rangers.
