Istanbul tram disruptions: legal proceedings launched
A statement from Metro Istanbul said:
“We express our sadness to the young person and his family about this incident which occurred on our line and share with the public that legal proceedings will be commenced in relation to the vehicle in question. Legal action will be initiated against vehicles entering our lines. As a result of UKOME’s decision, authorised vehicles should not use our tramways.”
In a post shared on its social media accounts in the morning, Metro Istanbul announced that the trip took place between Kabataş-Beyazit and Yusufpaşa Bacılar stations due to a road closure caused by a road vehicle breakdown on the road route of the T1 Kabataş-Bacılar tram line, with operations returning to normal after a while.
