Deco attended the opening in Hollywood last night, and although it wasn’t in California and there were no stars on the red carpet, it was still a blockbuster event for South Florida foodies. You could even call it a Block 40 blockbuster event.
Listen up, hungry residents of Downtown Hollywood: Block 40 Food Hall is here.
Steve Dapuzzo: “Block 40 Food Hall is Hollywood’s first food hall and will feature over 10 different concepts, gaming areas and three different bars.”
This hole didn’t just appear out of nowhere – Block 40 was opened for a reason.
Steve D’Apuzzo: “Hollywood has developed a great live-life, work-life, and now it’s time to develop a play-life.”
There’s plenty to play here, including Jenga and darts, or you can just hang out at the center bar if you want to take in all the action.
With 10 food kiosks, you really can’t go wrong.
Steve D’Apuzzo: “We want to have a little bit of everything from every region, so choosing the right kiosk is really important. We want people to be able to come in and get exactly what they want. And the best part is, they can come in with a friend and everyone can get what they want.”
Craving fettuccine? Come to Dalmoro’s.
Elliot Lauri: “We’re a fast-casual pasta restaurant with homemade sauces, pasta and homemade tiramisu.”
You can watch the pasta being made right before your eyes, and the food hall is the perfect location for this first South Florida location.
Elliot Lowry: “So, in this environment, it’s nice because you can take the train, walk to the next stop, and then walk to the park over there.”
At CLASS Lux Burger, it all happens between the buns.
Chef Ali: “We specialize in sliders. We have a signature burger that combines filet mignon rib eye and skirt steak, and it’s all hand ground.”
To save time, we asked the chef for recommendations.
Chef Ali: “The lamb sliders are currently one of our most popular dishes. They are seasoned with rosemary, tarragon and sage and served medium-done. They are served open-faced with a small salad on the side.”
Want dessert? We hope so. Hollywood Creamery awaits.
Konstantin Goldenberg: “I make my own ice cream. I do it in small batches and I often change the flavors, so there’s always something new and unusual on the menu.”
You won’t go thirsty at Block 40. Over 150 types of beer and a wall of tequila await you in this Mexican haven.
Steve D’Apuzzo: “And of course, we have our signature full-service restaurant, Loco Ocho.”
Everyone wins at Block 40 Food Hall, making for a truly Hollywood ending.
Tiina Hietala: “We’re locals and we’re always looking for new places to eat and have fun, and this place seems to tick all of those boxes.”
