Hezbollah has reportedly used an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to attack a shopping mall in Kiryat Shmona, northern Israel.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Aharonoth, a drone sent by Hezbollah from Lebanon crashed into a shopping mall in Kiryat Shmona.
The news report stressed that sirens sounded across northern Israel as the UAV was deployed, but that no significant damage was caused to shopping malls.
It said the fires broke out in the area after Hezbollah fired missiles into northern Israel during the day.
Since June 2, missiles and kamikaze drones fired by Lebanon’s Hezbollah have sparked numerous fires in settlements and towns in northern Israel, due in part to the region’s heatwaves.
