The appointment decision was published in the Official Gazette and signed by AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
According to the decision, Chairman of the National Supervisory Committee Yunus Arunci was dismissed from his position based on Articles 2, 3, and 4 of Presidential Decree No. 3 and Article 10 of Presidential Decree No. 5. As a result, Director Salih Tanlıkul was appointed as Chairman of the State Supervisory Committee to fill the vacant position.
Four state directors of education have been fired
Meanwhile; Usak Provincial Director of National Education Bulent Şahin, Düzce Provincial Director of National Education Tamer Kurbac, Tunceli Provincial Director of National Education Gürsel Ekmekci, and Şırnak Provincial Director of National Education Nazan Şener were dismissed. Halil Yusel was appointed to the Usak Provincial Directorate of National Education, Emrula Aydın to the Düzce Provincial Directorate of National Education, Fetih Ateş to the Tunceli Provincial Directorate of National Education, and Osman Sebeci to the Şırnak Provincial Directorate of National Education.
Who is DDK’s new president Sari Tanrikul?
Salih Tanrıklı was born in Ankara in 1974 and graduated from the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Political Science, Ankara University in 1996, and then obtained a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Illinois, USA.
Tanrikul joined the public service in 1997 as Deputy Specialist to the Prime Minister, and from 1998 served as Revenue Secretary, Head of the Revenue Management Group, Chief Inspector General of Taxation and Deputy Chairman of the Tax Inspection Board at the Ministry of Finance.
Within the scope of his professional activities, Mr. Tanrikul has represented the country at the OECD and EU Fiscal Working Groups and served as Financial Adviser to the Permanent Representation of Turkey to the European Union (Brussels) and as a member of the NATO Supervisory Committee in 2013 and 2015.
Appointed as a Presidential DDK member in 2015, Tanrikul served as chairman of the National Emergency Procedures Review Committee from 2017 to January 2023.

Tanlukulu is married and the father of three children.
