Israeli Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar said action should be taken for a “preemptive strike” against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
In a statement to Israel’s Yediot Alonot newspaper, Zohar said military tensions with Hezbollah were discussed at the weekly cabinet meeting.
“The time has come to say openly that postponement of the fight to destroy Hamas led to the tragedy of October 7,” Zohar said of the Hezbollah attack.
“Postponing the fight to destroy Hezbollah’s (military) capabilities will lead to a bigger and more terrible disaster for us. We are paying a huge price even before the conflict reaches its peak.”
Zohar: “Postponing war with Iran and destroying its nuclear capabilities could lead to the destruction of Israel.” In a statement, he argued that an attack on Iran should not be postponed.
