Weld and Larimer counties rate restaurants, schools, grocery stores and other food establishments in three categories: pass, need reinspection or close. As part of the county’s scoring criteria, officials rate establishments on factors such as cooling, reheating and refrigeration equipment for food preparation, keeping food warm, cross-contamination of raw and cooked foods and employee hygiene, according to the county.
“Pass” — The facility meets basic food safety standards. The facility may have priority, priority base, or core violations. Some or all of the violations were corrected during the inspection.
“Reinspection Required” – Food safety violations may have been found and corrected, but the evaluation requires a reinspection to ensure basic food standards are being met.
“Closed” — Significant unsanitary conditions or other imminent health hazards have been found. The facility has multiple priority, priority base, or core violations that indicate a high risk. The facility must cease operations until the conditions and violations are corrected.
Facilities that receive a “Closed” rating and are marked with an * indicate they have subsequently met the requirements to reopen.
