The 69th final of the UEFA Champions League, the most important organization at the club level in European football, took place at Wembley Stadium in England, between the Spanish team Real Madrid and the German team Borussia Dortmund. The Purple-Whites doubled their lead with an 83rd-minute strike from Vinicius Junior. The Madrid team took the cup to the museum for the 15th time in the club’s history. It was the ninth time the Spanish team had won the Champions League under the current format, and six of those titles have come as Champions Club Cup victories.
