Plastic surgeons in Turkey have performed an astonishing facial transformation on a man so much so that some now believe he looks 30 years younger.
Taking to Instagram, Este Med Instable detailed their extensive procedures: “We performed a facelift, neck lift, lower blepharoplasty, upper blepharoplasty, cheek fat removal, rhinoplasty and hair transplant on our patient Michael. He has undergone an incredible transformation as you can see from the photos.”
A montage of snaps containing Michael’s before and after photos was quickly posted to X (formerly Twitter) and attracted the attention of millions of users, with the caption: “Turkish surgeon does crazy thing by performing 8 surgeries at once… This man comes back 30 years younger.”
A user on Instagram X described the man’s new look as making him look “30 years younger” (https://www.instagram.com/estemedistanbultr/).
One X user, amazed by Michael’s procedure, replied, “When I’m 55, I definitely want to go back to 30,” while another agreed, “What the heck?!?!?! If I need a facelift in 10 years, I know where to go. Turkey and Korea are basically even when it comes to plastic surgery.”
A third joked: “If I won the lottery in 30 years I wouldn’t tell anyone but… there will be signs (new faces and turkey holidays).”
A fourth mused: “Once this technology becomes a reality in 20-30 years, we’ll all be needing plastic surgery. We will be living the longest and looking the youngest we’ve ever lived in human history. It’s time to not only look young on the outside, but take care of the inside too.”
Turkey has become a hotspot for Brits seeking plastic surgery (https://www.instagram.com/estemedistanbultr/)
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) estimates that the number of people travelling abroad for surgery has almost doubled in four years, with 248,000 UK citizens choosing to travel for surgery in 2019, up from 120,000 in 2015.
Turkey is set to welcome 1.2 million British medical tourists in 2022 alone, and many of the country’s 913 cosmetic surgery clinics offer visitors complete packages including airport transfers, hotel accommodation and even shuttle buses to and from their appointments, which can cost less than £3,000 depending on the treatment.
