The Turkish national team will be in France aiming to win the European Amputee Football Championship for the third consecutive year.
The third European Amputee Football Championship is due to take place from 1 to 8 June in Évian-les-Bains in the Haute-Savoie region.
This year, 16 teams will compete for the title in the 2024 championship.
Participating teams include Turkey, France, Greece, Poland, Scotland, Germany, England, Georgia, Belgium, Spain, Israel, Ireland, Azerbaijan, Italy, Netherlands and Ukraine.
The tournament is divided into four groups, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the quarter-finals.
The championship will kick off with an exciting opening match on Saturday, featuring hosts France taking on Ukraine.
Turkey will face Ireland, Azerbaijan and Israel in Group C.

The team will play their first match against Israel on Sunday, June 2, before facing Azerbaijan on Monday, June 3, and Ireland on Tuesday, June 4.
All of Türkiye’s group stage matches will be held at the Camille Fournier Stadium.
Turkey has had an impressive record in the European Amputee Football Championships, winning a total of 11 matches in the past two editions of the tournament.
The national team, which holds the honorable title of “unbeaten” in Europe, showed great attacking and defensive strength: in these 11 matches, Turkey scored 62 goals and conceded only four.
Turkey to win the 2022 World Cup
Turkey finished third in the 2007 World Cup, held in the Turkish Riviera resort of Antalya, becoming one of the top three teams for the first time in the cup’s history.
Following this initial success, the team performed consistently well in subsequent World Cups, achieving third place finishes in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
At the 2018 Amputee Football World Cup held in Mexico, the team reached the final for the first time in the organization’s history.
The national team narrowly missed out on the cup, losing to Angola in a penalty shootout in the final.
Turkey will face Angola again in the final of the tournament in 2022. They defeated Angola 4-1 in a rematch of 2018, winning their first World Cup title.
Turkey’s amputee football team, a two-time European champion, also won the 2022 World Cup in Istanbul.
