The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. yesterday in front of the Karatepe Criminal Facility in Sarlar District.

The car driven by Erdem Koc was overtaking a car driven by his son Burak Koc (25) when it collided head-on with a car driven by Serkan Alican (39) coming from the opposite direction.
A car driven by Black Kochi also crashed.

Following the report, numerous military police, health and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area.

An examination by the team revealed that Erdem and his wife Bilsen Koç, who were in the same car, had lost their lives.

The injured, who were trapped in the car – Burak Koç, Serkan Alikan, Nihan Alikan (37 years old), Muradiye Yavuz, Ege Alikan (4 years old) and Melek Alikan (9 years old) – were rescued from the scene by firefighters and taken to Çorlu Provincial Hospital by medical teams.

Among the injured, Muradiye Yavuz was in critical condition and died despite all medical intervention, while five others were treated but their injuries were not found to be life-threatening.

An investigation has been opened into the accident and is being carried out by the Military Police.
