ÇYDD files lawsuit seeking cancellation of “Turkish Century Education Model”
The statement released by ÇYDD on this matter is as follows:
“No permission.”
“The Ministry of National Education’s educational curriculum, called the ‘Turkish Century Education Model,’ threatens our understanding of the modern and secular education we aspire to. We will never allow our education or our future to be threatened. For this reason, as ÇYDD, on behalf of the legal entity of the Association, we have filed a lawsuit in the State Council seeking the injunction and cancellation of the educational curriculum changes, called the Turkish Century Education Model, in order to defend our rights and ensure that our children, the future of our country, receive a modern, secular and scientific education in the light of Atatürk’s principles and the revolution.”
“Secular education is the most fundamental right”
Our lawsuit to prevent irreparable damage to the education system is not just a legal fight. It is a protest against Turkey’s bright future. Access to a modern, scientific and secular education is the most fundamental right of our children. We will not stop fighting to protect this right.
We will continue to share developments regarding the legal process with the public in a transparent manner. We will fight resolutely to uphold and protect the right to education. “For the sake of our children and the future of our country, we will continue this fight to the end.”
