The 2024 Busan Food Film Festa is set to captivate audiences from June 28 to 30 at the Busan Film Center.
This year’s theme is “Rice: Everyday Life and Deviance,” and will explore the significance of rice through a range of films and engaging programs.
The opening ceremony and outdoor screening are free to attend, but some programs require a fee.
Here’s what you can expect at this year’s festival.
Opening film:
“Delicious Movie”: An anthology film featuring three short stories by different directors. Premiering at the Opening Ceremony on June 28th at 7pm.
Story 1: After losing his job, a young man finds solace in a bowl of rice noodles.
Story 2: A young man reflects on his breakup while eating tteokbokki.
Story 3: Two mothers neglected by their daughters find solace in ramen on Nodeulseom Island.

We talk with experts about “Rice in our daily lives” and “bias in rice intake.”
Food Zone
Enjoy popular food trucks and outdoor pop-up restaurants, or dine while watching a movie or performance at events like ‘Pot Luck Table’.
Theme Zone
We will exhibit a variety of rice-related foods, drinks, and products.
Food Therapy
This is a veggie pizza making experience for kids, available for advance online or on-site reservation.
