Dubar – 11 people were arrested in operations carried out in three provinces in connection with the murder of Vice Principal of Febci Çakmak Anatolian High School, Mahir Çocacı, who was killed in the Çaairova district of Kocaeli. After the procedures, the 11 people, including the 17-year-old DG who committed the murder, were sent to the Gebze Court.
According to the DHA, on the morning of June 26, Mahir Choas, vice principal of Fevci Çakmak Anatolian High School on Fatih Street in Çaairova District, left his home to go to school and got into his car, which was parked on the street. While Mahir Choas was wearing his seat belt, a person who had been waiting across the road for about an hour approached the car and shot Choas in the head with a gun. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
Mahir Choasaci was notified and dispatched to the area in an ambulance to be taken to Gebze Fatih Regional Hospital, but it was not possible to save him. His body was buried in the Aksey Cemetery in the same area on June 27 after a ceremony at the school where he worked.
The Homicide Department team of the Security Branch of Kocaeli Police Station began investigating the incident. After technical and physical follow-up investigations, the team detained the assailant and the suspect who was with him during the incident. Expanding the investigation according to the statement, the team detained nine more people during operations in Kocaeli, Istanbul and Adana on June 27 and took them to the Kocaeli Provincial Police. After the procedures were completed, DG was determined to be the culprit and committed the murder, and the other suspects were BY (20), OD (18), HZ (22), EK (32), M.Ç. (27), LA (44), BC (24), AH (53), EB (39), T.Ö. After their statements were taken, they were sent to the Gebze Court.
